Our Path.

The earliest incarnation of BestWeb Atlanta came into existence in 1997 in Nashville, Tennessee at a critical stage of Frasier's employment as an IT Manager at a large printing company there. Frasier was fiercely independent and knew he needed to work on his own, free from what he saw as the stifling constraints and bleak vicissitudes of the de-facto corporate environment.

Very soon thereafter, the Atlanta incarnation of BestWeb appeared. A very good friend living in Marietta, Georgia, sold Frasier on the move from Nashville to Atlanta... and Wheat remains the most talented and persuasive communicator I know to this day.

In the early days, BestWeb Atlanta web design and development suffered from a couple of serious ailments but, in spite of them, managed to stand the test of time. Those ailments were:

  • Charging too much.
  • Delivering too little.

On Charging Too Much.

Our simple lifestyles are easily sustained by what are relatively low rates for the industry, with most services falling toward the lower end. Major, complex projects for large, well-funded entities may be charged higher rates for various reasons.

On Delivering Too Little.

Today, we don't use frames, clip art, or low quality images in the creation of our clients' web sites. Today, we close our tags and use the latest technologies when they are the best solutions for the needs of the client. We design, develop, and deliver high-end, custom web sites at low-end prices.

BestWeb Atlanta now faces new challenges. Our modus operandi these days includes:

  • Charging too little.
  • Delivering too much.

On Charging Too Little.

Our relatively low rates are attracting more new clients than ever. It seems to be working out well in most respects.

On Delivering Too Much.

We don't create cheap-looking sites, although we reserve the right to experiment with strange colors and layouts, and exceptions have occurred based on what the client wanted. We mean it when we say "we deliver high-end sites at low-end prices." It is standard practice to work more hours than we bill our clients for. This ensures an amazing value for the client. We do this because it makes the client happy, and this, in turn, makes us happy.
